A picture is worth 140 characters

A guy has developed a file encoding method, using Chinese characters for some nitty gritty technical reasons, that allows him to encode an image into 140 characters, thus making it tweetable. Obviously a lot of data is lost in such an encoding, but for a first stab the results are pretty cool. Here's how the 140 character encoding of a photo of the Mona Lisa looks when translated back into an image file: ![]() |
