The problem with perms

Bit of a quandary here...

Today I made an appointment to get my hair permed tomorrow evening. Later in the day, I got a call to schedule a job interview for Thursday.

SO... do I go through with the perm and interview with great hair that has perm stink?

OR... do I cancel the perm and interview with non-stinky hair that isn't exactly fabulous? (and once again put off hair maintenance I've been needing for months)

Or option C, keep the appointment but have them do something other than a perm.

I shouldn't have read the title of this thread right after spending time on SL... I read it as "The problem with prims"

Tell them you have a job interview and would like your hair not to stink. This means rinsing it, after both the wave lotion and neutralizer steps, for more than five minutes. If possible, have them use a normalizing lotion afterwards- it locks the perm in better (by closing up the cuticle quicker) and reduces smell. Too many hairdressers rush the process, and the result is mondo post-perm stench. (Not to mention frizzly hair).

wendy: is this the kind of thing they'd have/do at a beauty school?

I did the same thing, only read it as "the problem with sperm". Which didn't seem all that unusual here. ;)

I like option C myself. Sometimes perms can turn out unexpected.

I wouldn't get a beauty school hair cut or treatment of any kind just before heading to a job interview...just sayin'.

#C
a good dependable cut n color for the interview. save the permage for less risky days

I think you should get a mullet.
