Disneyland July 4th 2009 Fireworks - Disney's Celebrate America!
Disneyland presented its July 4th / Independence Day fireworks called "Disney's Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky" each night from July 2-5, 2009. Here is a link to my video, taken from the center of the Hub, right in between the Partners statue and Sleeping Beauty Castle. Enjoy!

I liked it.

Saw it last night (the shortened version) and I loved it!

Great video, thanks for posting. Too bad you were near some of the most annoying "woo!" people ever for the first few minutes. (If it's someone you know, sorry, but it doesn't make it less annoying ;) )

So did they do an expanded version on the actual 4th?
We liked the version on the 2nd, but it was sort of a rip in that, for the first time I'm aware of, they did not perform their regular fireworks first and do the Patriotic section as an add-on. The version on the 2nd was cool, but definitely of add-on quality, and not a show in and of itself, imo. |

I was hoping the music and boom of the fireworks would drown out some of their chatter and screams, but it does add a little to the atmosphere and shows the excitement of the crowd. Overall, the fact that Disneyland presented versions of the July 4th fireworks over four nights probably helped reduce the crowds throughout the weekend. And it's much better than July 4, 2008 when the fireworks were halted half-way through the show due to high winds. |
