Reaction halfway through the trailer:

"Ok, they combined lightcycle racing with the shopping mall course from Super Mario Kart."

Now I'll watch the rest.

Second half reaction:

"Well, I'll remain hopeful though this teaser doesn't really give me anything to hang it on. Sure, back in 1982 a massively CGI on-screen environment was amazing. Now it just looks like Speed Racer 2."

So, we'll see. A nostalgia kick but I can just watch the first movie again for that.

Must caution ... the original looked and sounded awesome, too.



And turned out to be one really stupid movie.


Cult favorite ... but I daresay only because of the awesome production design.





If they bring the Tron (Legacy) tunnel to Disneyland, I'll be happy though.

It's been a few years since I've seen it, but I really only well after its original run and I rather enjoyed it. Though I'm sure much of my enjoyment was due to my computer geekery and being alternately impressed with the bits where the computer metaphors were good and highly amused where they were bad.

Did any of you Comic Con'ers happen to catch the Avatar preview?

It was cut short because of the freaking Twilight fans taking forever to exit the ballroom.





Of course, that doesn't answer the question. Just wanted to rant about Twilight fans.

Looks gorgeous. There's always a possibility that the story will be good too. May be a must-see on the big screen.
