I had heard rumors about former Duke players Laettner and....Thomas Hill?....but never about UNC players.

Grant Hill. And daaaamn, I wish it were true. They were so freaking hot together. I met Laettner here in Portland when the Dream Team was in town and all I could do was just stare and babble incoherently. I stalked him incessantly for a week.

And those rumors were SO started by jealous men. They couldn't handle a big hot Great White Hope who rocked the college basketball world AND got a page in People's Most Beautiful people magazine. ;) The guy had it all going for him for a while.

No....there was another Hill on the team, and I remember the rumors were about Laettner and that Hill, not Grant Hill. Was the other Hill named Thomas?

Yes, but he lived with Grant Hill for a while and went everywhere with him. They were the actual rumored couple on the Duke campus. I had several friends from elementary and junior high who went to Duke when they were there, and one of my oldest friends used to work at a Shoney's in Raleigh....Laettner and Hill would leave Durham and go eat in Raleigh at a freaking Shoney's together.

Rick Fox was also supposedly gay. Guess who my favorite two college players were back then? Fox and Laettner.
