RT: The Worst Films of the last 10 Years
From Rotten Tomatoes:
The Worst of the Worst For all the many movies I have seen in the last ten years I somehow managed to avoid most of the films on the list, though not all of them ... Guilty 1. Half Past Dead 2. Battlefield Earth Despite the reviews I am still curious to see the Roberto Benigni film, although I know the experience will be full of pain and misery. |
I've seen:
The New Guy Babylon A.D. 88 Minutes Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li Battlefield Earth Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever None of them were good movies. But I can think of many worse movies i"ve seen. Part of being a truly awful movie, in my opinion, is the people involved thinking they're doing something really good. Nobody making Ballistic though they had even a good genre movie going (though it truly is an awful movie). Wild, Wild West, however... |
I haven't seen a single movie on that list.
|
Three of the ones I've seen were seen on airplanes. Further proof of airline sadism.
By the way, I didn't think 88 Minutes was all that bad. Just an extremely mediocre genre picture. |
I saw Testosterone. Even the delicious eye candy was not enough to save that flaming bag of turd.
|
*phew* - I've dodged every bullet on that list. But I too have long been curious about the Benigni Pinocchio. I've heard that the longer Italian version (without the American voice-over track) is preferable.
|
So is it worse to be listed #100 on the list or #1?
I guess #1 is the worst, it has a 0% ripe vs #100 6% ripe. |
Phew. My career has only been connected to 5 of them.
|
Egads I've seen a ton of them. In my own defense most of them I rented and Madzie watched.
98- Cheaper by the Dozen 2 83 - Doogal 79 - Pluto Nash 63 - Yours, Mine and Ours 60 - The Perfect Man 58 - Christmas with the Kranks 56 - Because I said so 46- Material Girls 41- Zoom 40 - Down to You 38 - Happily Never After 36 - The Whole Ten Yards |
If you a fan of Larry the Cable Guy and the lesser Wayans offspring then it would seem you are way out of alignment with the nations cinema critics.
