Clean out those closets! (For a good cause)
 

Tonight in choir rehearsal this one guy stood up at the break and said that he's (American) Samoan, and lost a lot of family members in American Samoa, with some still missing. He's doing what he can from here to help, namely, that some local churches are collecting stuff to send down there to help out, so he's asking us to contribute clothes and stuff to be sent down there. He says anything, even a pair of socks, is helpful and desperately needed.

I'll be bringing whatever to rehearsal next Thursday, so if you have stuff you'd like to divest yourself of, this would be a great, positive way to do so. Please let me know and we'll coordinate gathering the stuff together so I can contribute it.

Very cool! I think we'll have a rummage through our clothes this weekend to see what we can contribute.

When are you planning on dropping stuff off? I have a bunch of stuff I just took to my parents and a bunch more stuff that will probably materialize after my closet purge this weekend.

Also, if anyone's going to be in/around Carson, that's where the church is physically located (in case that's easier than trying to meet up with me). You can take the donated stuff there. (If they ask, just say it's from the Disney folks) It's at:
