When you're in the park, they're really pushing you to go to the outside events, instead of having some kind of big fun memorable happening inside the parks. Which brings me to point #2.
2) There are TOO MANY things planned at the parks. This might not seem like a negative, but the problem comes when there are so many things, all of them are sparsely attended. Even the photo ops this year and last were sparsely attended.
Goth day has TWO major things to do, and EVERYONE comes to those: 1) the photo at the castle, and 2) the Haunted Mansion at nite. EVERYONE is participating in the organized events, and thus the organized events are memorable.
With Gay Days, on the other hand, you had: Single Riders Gathering, Youth Scavenger Hunt, Family Lunch, Ladies Who Lunch, Bear Lunch, Youth Lunch, Group Photo, Scavenger Hunt, Parade Meet, Couple Dinner, Cocktail Party, Youth Dinner, Kingdom Dance, Late Movie.
That's 14 events, in one day. Sorry, but that is about 11 too many. People are going to pick and choose one or maybe two of those things to do. So why not make ONE event "THE EVENT" to do? Why not have an all gay-days Small World ride, a-la what Goth Day does for the Mansion? There's certainly room to take small 100 person group photos a-la Goth Mansion...
