I'm not near any rivers, so I'm not having any direct effects. There is a lot of flooding around, though. They closed one entrance to the airport parking garage yesterday morning, but it's back open today. All flights in and out of Seatac were on hold for a few hours yesterday. A state of emergency has been declared in 18 counties. The biggest issue around me is urban flooding from blocked storm drains. Because we're not close enough to rivers for flooding from them, people don't expect to suddenly run into huge engine-stalling puddles.
