If Disneyland did not hit capacity on the 30th or 35th, when they hyped the birthday much more with all-year-long car giveaways, then I don't for a minute think it will hit capacity on the 50th.
Disneyland does not promote July 17. Plain and simple, there's no money in it. They promote the 50th
Year, and they will promote it most at
DisneyWorld. They are not interested in people coming for that day; they want increased attendance for 18 months.
Whatever happens, I have no intention of altering my tried and true Disneyland Birthday pattern of morning in the Park, hot & crowded afternoon at the hotel room, and back in the Park between 7 and 8pm for the remainder of the night. I have a really hard time believing that I won't be able to get back in the park at 8pm.
In any case, I'll chance it. I'm not springing for a suite at the Disneyland Hotel so that I can stay inside Disneyland during its hottest and most crowded times of the day.
