Anyone here go to a Mexican restaurant in NYC? If you have, I rest any and all cases. I don't worry about needing something specific anywhere. For the most part, if you want it so bad, you can find the seasonings to make it yourself, or seek out specialty venues. Hell, I've ordered cheesecake from NYC and it was GREAT. Expensive, but great.

My opinion: enjoy what your area is known for, and pity the people in the Midwest. Unless you're in a major metropolitan area, and even if you are - you're screwed for both coastal cuisines.
