Question Day Laborers: How Much To offer?

I have a friend who is contemplating hiring a couple guys to move some big/heavy furniture from one room in a building with elevators to another room on a different floor. This friend is not strong enough to move them himself and since I have a bad back, I can't offer much assistance.

So hypothetically speaking, if my friend wanted to hire a Home Depot Parking Lot Worker, what would be an appropriate amount to offer them? There are no stairs involved and it should take one, maybe two hours tops.
