Lol, I love the soy debate.
The Asian nation soy comparison isn't really very accurate. The Japanese eat tofu or soybeans, not the same concentrated soy products we have here. Nearly everything packaged in america has soy in it, and our breastfeeding rates are among the lowest in the entire world (thus more babies on soy formula), so comparitively, our soy intake is extremely high compared to most countries.
I'm going to weigh in officially as any packaged foods are bad for you, soy or not. All whole foods in moderation. Tofu and edamame are whole foods, boca burgers, not so much. And all veggies contain phytoestrogens.
