Matthew and I will be celebrating together, of course, but it almost turned out differently. My dad wanted to send me a plane ticket to visit him in Missouri this year but I was too swamped with gigs to be able to accept. Had I not been, I would have had a layover in Denver 2 days ago. I think that might not have worked out so well.
