Well, here I am in Joplin, MO, the buckle of the Bible belt. Flew in on Friday (thanks Cherny for the 4 am airport run), and Silver Dollar City on Saturday (thanks Coastermatt for the park info). Christmas Eve Sunday involved a (brace yourselves) Southern Baptist church, visits with relatives, a stop at the real Spring River Farm, and a wonderful party at my aunt Lyla's house. Today, Christmas, had my Grandma waking me up waaay too early. Later we'll go to my aunt Susie's house for dinner. Which in the midwest is lunch. Tomorrow is Lambert's, Home of the Throwed Roll, for dinner (again, not supper) and then onto a plane back home to the Golden State.
I hope all my friends and family on the LoT have a Merry Christmas (whatever your version is

.)
p.s. I found out my uncle Pug was a hobo in the 1930's, stories to follow.
