As my wife will attest, mine is only average length - just eight feet.
But joking aside, you made me look into this phenomenon a bit just now. I went to a lot of different stores last night knowing I would need this cable today for the hookup - same price everywhere I went.
Googling a bit on the topic, it didn't take long to run into a number of discussions about cables
like this one that basically let me know I was a fool for spending that much money!
Since I need it today, I am going to see how much I can get the cable for at Orvac's - I think that will be my best bet on a Sunday. And then back to Best Buy for some money back.
