Takamoto didn't enjoy as much name recognition as some other animators, but he has certainly left a legacy. Scooby is a timeless character that will no doubt outlive us. (As will his spiritual twin Astro), but I am most in debt for Takamoto's design of lovely Penelope Pitstop. Ahhh, Penelope...
