There are different "paths" one can follow within Masonry if one chooses Scottish Rite and York Rite are the big ones, I believe. There are also related organizations within Masonry - sort of like clubs for masons. Shriners (Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine) is one, Eastern Star (which accepts men and women as members) is another.

This is about all I know, based on the placemats at the local masonic center. Because of school I haven't been too involved.
