Oh, we do. Thank you for coming to visit me at lunch. Thank you for fixing the bed. Thank you for cooking what I like for dinner. Thank you for letting me sleep in.
But, of course, there are the Thank yous like...
Thank you for dropping me off in a puddle of mud.
Thank you for changing the channel when I left the room for two minutes.
Thank you for taking that phone call while we were: having a conversation...on a romantic get away...out with the family...and turning down my music instead of walking into another room.....
But, we do mean it. My MiL was impressed {or else being sarcastic?} when she told me that my BiL was surprised how well we got along while he and his wife fought all of the time. We appreciate one another.
Well, we try. :0)
