I guess, but it wouldn't require photoshop. I guess my biggest issue is that (I'm assuming) the original photo is lost (so you can't have both the funny picture and the good picture) and the method for evaluating decency of the result is inherently crappy (being squished down to a one-inch screen covers a lot of sins).
Regardless of ease of use, at some point the photo is going to be offloaded for further distribution and viewed then. Just seems better to me to have those features built into the image viewer than the image taker.
But then I'm not much of a casual photographer (and hardly ever take pictures of people, so the slimming is particularly useless to me unless I want to minimize a tree or something) so I'm sure my perspective is once again warped.
