During World War II, 93% of the Disney company’s output was war-related. This show attempts to scratch the surface. I talk about many rarely-seen Disney shorts, including the infamous “Der Fuehrer’s Face”, and the full-length Victory Through Air Power.
Also in this episode is an interview with Jeff From Houston, aka The Meandering Mouse, host of his own podcast and founder of The Disney Podcast Network.
Perhaps the least-remembered Disney era, the period during World War II was not part of “The Long Pause”, but was actually a time of immense output and historical and artistic interest.
