So, if you turned on the news today and saw footage of red-tagged houses in Glassell Park because the hillside is about to slide down on them, you saw my neighborhood

! I woke up to helicopters and called the local news station to find out what was going on. They said 10 or so houses were sliding down the hillside at Mimosa and Ackerman. So, I types the street names into my handy
Google maps (thanks GD) and I says to myself, self, you should call the roomate and find out what he'd like saved, cause you live right down the street (Toland and 40th) and might be seeing, like, some mud soon.
What is going on? Train wreck suicide (or not) attempt a couple of weeks ago, actress falling out of the sky at rehearsal a week ago, roomate's cat put to sleep yesterday, mudslides down the street, I seem to have moved into a disaster-prone neighborhood. On the other hand, it all seems to be going on
around me, and not
to me. Even while everyone else's driving routines have been screwed up from the rain, my routes have been taking me around all the worst storm damage. Weird.
Well, time to go to bed, can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store
