Whatever money you might have saved on this install is negated by the time wasted waiting for them, the energies expended trying to get a hold of them and the blood pressure increase such a runaround surely has given you. This is utterly ridiculous- with customer service like this before you've committed to any sort of contract, do you really think they'll be a good company to deal with after any install might actually take place?
I'd consider this a warning and be very seriously looking into other options. I'd also draft a letter of complaint, with a cc to the BBB.
