See, this is where I thought the wikipedia entry a good one - even if only speculation that this practice as "pornography" came about because of restrictions on pornography, namely the banning of genitals. In the effort to stop one "disgusting" practice a new one springs into place. Sort of gives one hope for the incorruptible depravity of man.
