Lol, Sac! I had a friend at work say the very same thing today.
Tonight, I decided to fight fire with fire. I'm not normally the passive-aggressive type, but that seems to be the only language my In-Laws know. I worked, went to the store and then came home and cooked dinner. Then I got right up and washed the dishes. My MIL tried to backtrack and say she didn't really mean it, but I told her that obviously it was an issue since she had complained about it so many times. She sadly accused me of trying to make her feel bad and I said no, it's just that in the scheme of things I have to do in the day, dishes are about the easiest and hardly worth bickering about. I did point out that had she not been so successful at undermining me with her encouraging Eric to not help out she had actually added to her 'household duty', and that it was hardly fair that it was now dumped on me.
She said she felt like a ****, but she still didn't offer to help- went downstairs to watch TV instead. At least the kitchen is really clean tonight.
