If you do spring for a flat TV, I'd recommend avoiding an LCD. GD mentioned them earlier. The technology just hasn't been refined enough yet to not have artifacting or pixilation being a problem. I can't speak for HD, but as far as
screen type I will say that LCD, for now, sucks. (Maybe the ultra high dollar sets are different, I don’t know. But the average consumer level LCDs do suck.) And if you already have these issues with Comcast (which I agree are lamer than lame) then an LCD would just make it worse.
