After all my ranting and raving...

So tonight - alas, no phone call has come through for me. Surprised, no? Disappointed - yeah, funny how that works. I called up Time Warner, expecting the worst, a battle of dimwits over charges and appointment times. After a fairly short hold time, I got Terence, who may go down in history as the best Customer Service Rep I've had the pleasure of speaking to on the phone.

And it's not even like he gave me good news.

The news is that they do charge that C.O.D. By that, I am now able to infer that everyone else was full of air and didn't want to take the time to explain it to me or cause an angry customer. The charges are basically like an up-front first month. The other charges are a deposit for digital box, and there's another charge - some stupid fee. No, I don't like paying the fees. Yes, I like knowing what I'm paying for.

Also, I can't get a time before I head out to Utah. So that means Tuesday, April 10 will mean a whole lotta install time that's two and a half weeks away. Not thrilling, but - it's kind of nice to know what's actually happening and why.

So yeah.

I'm paying $110 and I'm happy.
