We showed up right after the photo, had to depart at 4pm, drove up to LA for a family Passover Seder, then drove back down to catch the revelers as they jumped breathlessly off of Peter Pan. Closed the park. We'll have to drive back up to LA tonight for more family stuff (and back again), but it was so worth it to make that drive back down.

hit many highlights. There were far too many to list. Jungle Cruise with a skipper with impeccable timing. A beekeeper climbing the mast on the Columbia. A fastpass run involving 33 passes. After the fireworks, the park cleared out and we had the place to ourselves. Don't you just love when there's zero line for the Mansion and you can see the exterior without the clutter of crowding?
We did miss a bunch of the fun but the fun we did have was spectacular indeed. I always know it's been a good day when I feel like singing "Second Star to the Right" as we move towards the exit. I feel so lucky to have each and every one of my wonderful friends in my life.
