I see. Can't agree though. I watch it mostly for the results, and secondly because I think the excitement they feel in their speech is infectious. I'm so happy for all of them when they're totally blissed out in front of the mike. Total vicariousness on my part. I know I'll never win one, so this is as close as I'll get.

I loved when the Spanish film won for best song, and the guy simply sang a few lines from the song and said "Ciao! Thank you!" Awesome moment.
