Echoing back to Alex's earlier numeracy, this bugged me.
MSNBC ran
this story about a group of 7 Kaiser Permanente workers in Santa Ana who won a large lottery jackpot a year and a half ago. It's the usual crap about trying to learn how to invest, dealing with the paranoia, and people trying to get at their money. Blah blah.
But it's the very last line (with no indication that it was said sarcastically or ironically) that got me:
"It was a crapshoot, really."
Unclear on the concept much?
