Actually... probably not. The concept that the Founding Fathers were anti-English and anti-royalty is a great misconception. They were fighting against overseas rule that was unjust, mismanaged, and in which they did not have adequate representation. I have no doubt they would have fought just as hard if the colonies were under the power of a European republic instead of a monarchy.
Also, don’t forget that the founding fathers were considering inviting a German prince over to become the King of America. I forget his name at the moment.
