DP, let me share the irony of last week.
I was driving home from work, on a four lane divded road. As I drove home, going uphill, I watched someone take off from the same light I was stopped at, only going "down" the hill.
WHy was I watching them? No idea.
Anyway... the car took off and this sizeable black dayplanner fell right off the car.
I just watched it fall. Then I watched people drive over it. well, if it were me, that would SUCK. So, I drove about a block up, made a u-turn and went back.
Sat in my car, watched a few more people run over it, and finally ran out and grabbed it.
Well .... it took me a while to find the owner... no obvious clues on the calendar, no papers from the kids school.....
I found a greeting card, then after more searching, a work phone roster.
Called the name that matched the card, blah blah....... talked to her, told her I would get it back to her, she asked that I include my card.
End of the story, I took it to the womans work.
Do you know DP, that she has called me at work twice?!?!
She wants to thank me in person, says she keeps telling people what I did for her, that she cant believe anyone would do that.
Now I ask you, was it all that wierd?!?!?! Just accept it, someone gave you back your stuff.
I'd rather slip off into oblivion than have her tell me I cant refuse her thanks.
What did this have to do with what you said? Her vm's.
She said on the last one that she really didnt have much faith in humanity, and would never have expected someone to return her planner. Whatever.
