I think it's great to finish what you started, especially in terms of education. I meet people at school all the time that waited until their kids were grown and had kids of their own to go back to school. It's good to feel completion in one's own life.
Right now I'm really proud of my cousin, who's been through hell and back. She's getting her GED any second now

and she'll be completing some criminology program (that I'm clearly not sure on the specifics of). She wants to work with other rape victims, and is planning on continuing her education. I'm glad that at 36, she realized she's not stuck and can learn to help herself and others.
