Lordy, Snowflake! I, too, am now addicted!
I'm also obsessed with the world's freakiest lodge listed in my above post. The Propeller City Lodge in Berlin, Germany.
These two fantasy rooms elicited a "Oh, hell to to the NO" from me:
Prison Cell:
A friendly prison cell with a hole in the wall. The toilet is in the room, just like we know it should be!What's different: You really WANT to stay here, it's extremely comfortable. Freedom awaits on the balcony with a parasol.
Huh?!?! I'm sorry, friends of the Lodge, but NO, I really do NOT WANT to stay here. My large intestine will explode before I partake in toilet action in front of my traveling companions & guests. And what's with the "hole"? Like, a glory hole? That might catch my attention & kick it up a notch, but I'll still pass.
Coffin:
In both coffins you can even slumber beneath closed lids! An will be opening soon: exclusively connoisseur room for all those "Nosferatus" who cannot wait for that which awaits us all. Whosoever has second thoughts can creep to the bedplace below, safe within the labyrinth. Not only a unique experience for Gothic die-hards...an exquisite location on top of that!
Um, NO. Since I don't fancy myself a travelin' Nosferatu with frequent flyer miles, I'll pass. And the minute that lid closed, I'd be screeching like a banshee in a full-blown panic attack. Personally, I like my holidays to remain sedative-free. I would start thinking of my deceased loved ones and then I'd just get disturbed. Plus, I'd be lying in that coffin knowing that that wouldn't be the last time my body would be chillin' in one. (edited to add: it looks like I can forego the coffin and slumber in some sort of labyrinth located below in that room. Can I just sleep in a Motel 6 at this point?)
I'm ALL over the "Upside Down" Room & the "Mirror" room. That sounds like lots of sexy fun!
But that's just me. I'd love to talk to anybody who actually did stay in those rooms and hear all of their exciting tales.
