YAY!!!

I've been the unfortunate victim of 3 wallet THEFTS! It's no fun replacing everything. I guess that because I've had it happen so many times to me, that I've started to have levels of what I find acceptable as a part of the stealing of the wallet process.

As long as they don't break my other sh!t, I'm fine with it. The last time, I foolishly thought I was hiding my purse in my car as I ran into the gym. WRONG! Someone took (likely) a screwdriver, chiseled out my lock, ripped out the guts of my brand new Explorer's door, and swiped the purse. Given my past experiences, I was fully prepared to deal with the missing wallet, but the car damage was a new fun time to be had.

One time, I had my wallet stolen while it was right next to me (I don't use purses with open tops anymore, to say the least!) While that was shocking, I wasn't nearly as upset.

After the first time it was stolen (from a locked gym locker) I stopped carrying around large amounts of cash. I know my bank numbers by heart, and stopping the cards has never been a difficult deal. I have copies of my cards, and their backs.

Oh, did I mention that the first and second thefts were less than 2 months apart? Yeah, DMV was a little suspicious...

mhrc, I'm so glad the wallet was found! Did you already do all the bank stuff to get new cards, etc, before he found it??
