Yeah, here I am going on about the close proximity to NY, yet I lived on Long Island for almost 15 years and never visited Boston. Didn't even visit DC until I was living on this coast. It's funny how you can live so close to something and never take the opportunity to check it out.
I've heard it said that if you visit someplace for a week, you'll see a lot of what you want to see. If you visit for two weeks, you'll see nearly everthing. If you live there, you'll never see anything at all. Seems to hold true a lot of the time.
