Meh, once the gimmick of Jason operating on automatic with no conscious memory was gone, it was just another espionage pic. And a sequel at that. I don't care if it's based on a series of books, the follow-up books were sequels.

Oh, and no love story kinda added to the bore quotient. And to rid themselves of the love story, the film did one of the things I hate most of all hated sequel trends ... spend one movie furiously saving the life of someone vital to the main character ... only to kill them within moments of the sequel starting.

Bah.




But, well, Pirates opens wide tomorrow ... so we can go back to complaining about that series soon enough.
