He yelled at us for ditching the play he directed. We went in search of fun on Hollywood Blvd, but instead of buying drugs or cheap hookers, we bought books at the Pickwick and toys at the Hollywood Toy and Magic shop.
The play was The Belle of Amherst, btw. A one woman show about the rather uneventful life of Emily Dickinson.
It was truly terrifying to be berated by Sid and Marty Krofft's evil magician of Lidsville, Hoodoo.
And yes, he really talked that that.
