At 12:56, Tori will officially be twelve years old.

I've been running around all week getting ready for her party, which is Hawaii themed () and scheduled for 6:30 this evening. We wanted to get her a Wii, but there were none to be found in Spokane. I'd spent several days trying to track one down and had pretty much given up when Eric got a lead on a shipment to Wal Mart. Now, I am no fan of Wal Mart, but they really came through on the customer service end and I am very impressed. Eric and I were both working, and it was a small shipment which was guaranteed to sell out in hours, if not minutes. I spoke to a lady in Electronics and she said she would bend the rules and hold one for me for an hour, but I couldn't get away. The only person available to pick it up was Trudy (my MIL) and she was watching Tori. I asked the associate if they would put the Wii in a plain box or wrapping and Trudy would try to get it home without Tori figuring it out, and they agreed. Well, when Trudy arrived to pick it up, they had several associates waiting to give her the "package", which they had wrapped inside bubble wrap and put in a larger box to throw the kid off the scent. She was totally clueless as to what it was, and the salespeople went to extremes to keep her that way. They let Trudy pay for it there at Electronics rather than up front per usual, and they wrote a note for her to give to the door person telling them to let her through without checking the box. (Signed by the manager). Trudy was completely blown over by their service, and I made sure to write an e-mail to corporate last night, along with sending them a thank you card today.

I can't wait to play it.
