While I really enjoy the Davy Crockett features, I've found that I prefer the TV versions.
(For those who need to know: Walt shot the Davy Crockett episodes in color, even though TV was B&W. After the show became so popular, he edited the shows into a feature film. He repeated the process with another series of shows that became a second Crockett film. It was special for audiences back then to see the theatrical movies, because it was the only way to see them in color. When the "Disney Treasures" DVD sets started to come out, there was a tin dedicated to all of the original TV episodes - in full color. When that went out of print, the two feature films were released as a double-feature DVD. Whew.)
