I was told that smoking a cigarette in the car would remove the smell of any food....no fabreeze, they said.

Any suggestions for those of us who emphatically don't smoke? I've got my car sitting in the sun right now with the windows cracked open in an attempt to wear out (and air out!) the scent of vanilla air freshener I got at the car wash last weekend. It's faded pretty well, but all this talk of bear damage has me worried (because, yeah, we're NOT fitting in the mini, we've pretty well established that).
