We just got home from our El Capitan adventure. We only encountered a few of the Hollywood wierdos, but then we stayed in the area of the Kodak and the El Capitan. A couple were dressed up as Wolverine and Storm. Storm had on a really bad, yellow wig and she was not in the least bit attractive. The wolverine guy was much better in his character. We didn't linger long to watch them. I can't believe the amount of "vendors" that come out at night with there Coleman stoves and try to push "bacon dogs" and what looked like either bad polish sausage or bad linguica. There was also some Japanese talk show shooting in front of the Kodak, which just cause more conjestion in that area.

What I don't understand is why people, when driving through the Grapevine, refuse to move out of the fast lane. They aren't going fast enough to be there and there are 3 other lanes to be in, why can't they move over? Then there was the idiot behind me when I was in the next lane over, who felt I should move into the truck lane so he could pass me. I was going 80, and there were trucks in the truck lane. Jerk actually though flashing his lights at me would get me to move. I felt justified when he rode his brakes all the way doen the last grade and I passed him. I take pride in knowing my vehicle and knowing the grade well enough to not touch my brakes all the way down. Heck, I am almost afraid to use my brakes on the hill. I have dreams where I lose my brakes, so I just make sure I don't go faster than the curves allow.

It is now after 2 and I am not quite ready to go to bed yet. Thank goodness I don't have to be at my sister-in-law's until 7pm tomorrow.
