I am the sort of person who ruins or loses some of my favorite belongings. I've lost almost every single sweater I've ever called 'favorite'. I recently lost Sputnik Sweetheart, my nearly new Nano iPod I purchased in February of this year. Before that, I lost my CD player. The electronic devices I do own usually crap out on me, eventually.

There is every reason in the world for why I shouldn't consolidate expensive items into one even more expensive item. Instead of losing one item, I run the risk of losing my everything-in-one item. So for that reason I'm not a huge fan of cell phones that can also be music players or cameras. Or cell phones that can be your calendar/contacts book. Or cell phones that are also PCs, iPods, etc., etc., etc. I'm the kind of person who likes to compartmentalize, for better or worse.
