Since I've lately been forgetting my phone everytime I take my iPod somewhere, I'm sorta convinced that I'm a one-device man who needs a combo something.

Being that I'm not Japanese, I don't need a camera at my disposal 24/7 ... but it would be nice to have my iPod and phone be one unit. That's it, though. I certainly don't need the internet everywhere I go ... and paying to have it on a mobile basis is beyond even my fairly extravagant expense allowances.

The touch-interface seems best with a plethora-use device ... and I just feel an oldster like me is never going to have much plethora-needs on the move.

Of course, one of the downsides of screens in the digital age - cellphone screens, camera screens - is that you often can't see them in the daylight. Has Apple solved this problem?

Seems to me the base issues of daylight visibility and skin oils are not being addressed in any reviews of the iPhone. Who cares how much it does if you can't operate it in the daytime and must clean it after every use?
