I found this rusty colored line of dust on my car bumper, just next to the edge of the trunk lid. When the trunk is open I can see a scorch mark in the corner of the frame that smells like fireworks. It looks like someone stuck a firecracker in there. What I can't figure out is when it happened. Most likely it was on the 4th since I know there were all these idiots with fireworks in the alley where I park. But I didn't notice it until Saturday and that was after I'd been taking things in and out of the trunk in broad daylight all week.
