Reminds me of a funny story. When I was a young and impressionable lad, I started smoking Lucky Strikes because I had an internship at a newspaper and Mel Gibson smoked them in
The Year of Living Dangerously. A month later, when I found myself at a treatment center in the middle of the Arizona desert, my choice of brand came in handy. Every week, they would make a run to the local Circle K to pick up sundry goods. Since it was a center which focused on health and recovery, there were always a group of people who would buy "just one pack" of smokes with the idea that they were ready to quit. I'd get a carton of Luckies (L.S./M.F.T.!). Within two days, half of the smokers would be bumming cigarettes from the "smart" ones that bought cartons. The Marlboro Lights smokers were hit hardest by the bums. I almost never had to give up a cigarette...
