Touch-up only really works satisfactorally in small areas, to fill in rock chips for example. It is theoretically possible to airbrush it depending on the size and depth of the scratch.

Uhmm..Duh?
She said "lightly", which I interpreted as 'not deep'. I've had light scratches which I have covered in said manner. Of course, I'm pretty casual about such things, so I'm easy to please. I also do not live near the ocean, where I've heard rust loves to inhabit scratchy places......
Edited to add: Whoops! My mistake. She didn't say "lightly", she said "not deep", which I still insist on interpreting as 'not deep'.
