		 Nope, never did BMG.  I had a healthy employee discount in the early days of CD, so I didn't need anything to jump start my collection.  And yes, I paid for far more CDs than I stole.  But, yeah, both methods were the jump-starters. 
  
I did lots of BMG-type stuff for DVDs and LaserDiscs, always scamming the system for 10-for-a-penny, then quitting before fulfilling the rest of the obligation.  Signing up again for 10 free discs, and on and on. 
  
  
  
If I were a hundredth as into music now as I was back then, I guess I'd be king of illegal downloads.  I buy about 1 CD per year. The prices piss me off, as do the tech attempts to limit how many times I can copy the music from a CD that I paid $23 to legally purchase.  Eff That!!
