The Hammer Museum in Westwood presents The Free Hammer Bash! Thursday, August 23rd. Take this opportunity to see the acclaimed exhibition Eden’s Edge: Fifteen L.A. Artists before it closes on September 2nd, and enjoy a performance and film by artist Jim Shaw.

TERRABYTE 2.0 launches at The Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden on Sunday, August 26th (5pm - 10pm). The event features performances by Boom Bip, Tycho, Test Shot Starfish, and INI Sound System, among others. KCRW is a media partner for this unique event where sound, art and emerging technology fuse with nature during garden treks and a planetarium show in NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope pavillion. Cash bar/food will be available. (There is a $10 suggested donation, with proceeds supporting The Arboretum's Plant Conservation Fund.)
