Wow Scrooge, that's the house deal from the Twilight Zone!

Reminds me of when I was selling my house, and just days before escrow closes, we have the people over for the final walk-through. We are all packed and ready to move. Our lives are in limbo. The folks pull up, get out of their car, and.............walk to the house being sold accross the street.

Our agent says "come on over for the walk-through!" to which they reply

"We are here for the walk through, come over here!".

He says "But you are buying this house!"

They look at each other in dismay and bark back "No, we aren't!"

"Oh, yes you are. I have the contract right here that you signed and it has this address on it. There must be some mistake."

Both houses were for sale at the same time by the same selling agent. The buying agent thought they wanted the house across the street, which was larger, for the great price of our smaller house. She didn't pay attention to the addresses. We got to keep the deposit, and sold it (again) two months later, while living out of boxes all the while. Who wants to pack twice? What a nightmare it was.
